Each country, participating in the Leonardo da Vinci II (LdV II) programme, assists the European Commission through its National Agency.
The Irish National Agency (NA) manages about 75% of the funds available to Ireland from 2000 to 2006. Public and private bodies and companies, involved in training or vocational training issues with international partners, can apply to the NA for grants. These grants cover placements and exchanges abroad (Procedure A) and pilot, language and network projects (Procedure B).
The National Agency's responsibilities are greater than its predecessor - The Irish National Co-Ordination Unit. This Unit operated during the first phase of the Leonardo da Vinci programme (1995-1999).
The National Agency (NA) is part of Léargas - The Exchange Bureau.
